Pastor Steve Boots grew up out in the country in Northwest Indiana as the oldest of ten children. He came to know Jesus Christ as his Saviour at the age of five in a Sunday school class. In 2005, he graduated from Fairhaven Baptist College with his B.A. in Missions. While traveling with the singing ensemble from Fairhaven, he visited Gill Grove Baptist Church in Chesterfield, VA, where he met Rebekah. Gill Grove needed an assistant pastor and Pastor Boots needed a wife (joking, of course), so it worked out very well for him to join the staff at Gill Grove in July 2006 and to get married in December of that year, as well. In 2009, He was ordained into the ministry. In 2012, God began to impress upon Pastor Boots’ heart the burden to start a church here in Virginia. After ten years as an assistant pastor, and after much prayer and preparation, Mt. Victory Baptist Church was started on October 2, 2016. Pastor and Mrs. Boots have three children: Jackson (9/16/09), Alex (11/10/12), and Ryleigh (11/24/14).
